Sunday Update

Today they have had Peter off of the sedation and pain meds to see how responsive he will be. He has had a quiet day, not moving much at all. We are just trying to be patient for God’s timing in Pete waking up.

Peter has been breathing on his own through the ventilator today. He initiates the breaths, and the machine will kick in to make it easier for him to receive the oxygen. This is quite the praise!

Here are the things to pray for (I copied some of them from yesterday):

1) Peter’s fever is still 103. The nurses are getting cultures done to try to localize the problem so they can treat it effectively. Continue to pray against infection, and that Pete will recover from the pneumonia.

2) Peter is in his own coma, so be in prayer that his brain/head will be restored and that he will wake up and be able to regain full usage of his brain.

3) Pray that Pete will continue to be able to breathe on his own.

4) Continue to pray for the health/rest of the family.

5) Continue to pray for the wisdom of dad and mom as they make decisions for Peter’s care.

For the family,

“‘Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!’ The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” – Psalm 46:10-11

I just saw the story in the Crowley paper. May God wrap His powerful, loving arms around your whole family and guide you each step of the way, I read the facebook page and was very sad to see that Wanda had died, she was a dear person. My family joins me in praying for you all.
    Love in Christ,
