Wednesday Update

Yesterday Peter was really relaxed in his coma. The previous days since he was moved out of ICU have seemed more agitating and traumatic for him, so it was nice to see. He just looked peaceful.

Mom was finally able to get the doctor to sign an order for glyconutrients to be put in Peter’s diet! We are so excited about this development, and we have been praying for this almost since Day 1.

He still has quite a bit of fluid in his lungs and sometimes coughs so hard we see tears come from the corner of his eyes. It’s hard to watch. Pete’s fever continues to go up and down throughout the day. We think that the fever issues are partially due to his inability to control his body temperature due to the head trauma.

Responsiveness is still minimal. The respiratory therapists are still weaning him off the ventilator. It is a slow process.

Here are the things you can pray for:

1. Pray that God would wake Peter up in His timing.

2. Thank God that we are now able to put nutritional supplements in Pete’s feeding tube. Pray that they would be a help to his body’s healing process.

3. Pray that Peter’s fever would not fluctuate so much.

4. Pray that Pete will continue to make progress breathing on his own.

5. Pray for our continued health, stamina, patience, and peace.

6. Pray for Peter’s full recovery.

7. Pray for the nursing staff and doctors.

Thank you all so much.

For the family,

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” – James 1:12
